Welcome to CONVR 2022
We are pleased to announce that the 22nd International Conference on Construction Applications of Virtual Reality (CONVR2022) will be held in Seoul, South Korea from 16th to 19th November 2022. The event will be organized at Chung-Ang University and will be hosted in conjunction with the Korean Institute of Construction Engineering and Management (KICEM) annual conference. As a response to COVID-19 pandemic, CONVR2022 will also be held online, for scholars unable to attend in person.
The overarching theme for CONVR2022 is “The future of construction in the context of digital transformation and decarbonization” and we welcome paper submissions on a broad range of topics including VR/AR, BIM and digital twins, IoT, artificial intelligence, construction automation, circular economy and sustainability.
CONVR is one of the world-leading conferences on virtual reality, augmented reality and BIM. Each year, more than 100 participants from all around the globe meet to share and discuss the latest developments and applications of digital technologies in the architectural, engineering, construction and operation (AECO) domains. The conference is also known for having a unique blend of participants from both academia and industry. This year, we have world-leading keynote speakers and research groups from industry and academia covering up-to-date hot topics and are enthusiastic and keen to share their knowledge with you.
CONVR participants are very loyal to the conference and have attended most editions over the last twenty editions. This year, we welcome numerous first-timers, and we aim to help them make the most of the conference by introducing them to other participants.
Finally, our role on the committee is to bring and discuss the innovations, best practices, opportunities and challenges experienced by AECO practitioners to the fore, with the aim of ensuring all participants leave the conference feeling knowledgeable, inspired and full of new ideas and with many new friends! We look forward to seeing you in Seoul in November 2022!
